Kevin Moore for Delegate-at-Large

I am a Lecturer in the department of Linguistics and Language Development. I came to SJSU in the fall of 2000, and I joined the union shortly thereafter. I became active in the union in 2006 – 2007 when I helped with the strike campaign. I got elected to my current position as assembly delegate in 2022.

As a member of the union leadership, I listen to everybody, identify points of agreement and disagreement, and concisely state my position, with the goal of achieving unity and strength on our campus. Achievement of unity will be based on compassion and willingness to be unified. At the same time I am aware that we don’t get results just by being logical and nice. We have to exercise power, based on unity and intelligence. We have an opportunity to do this as we organize to do what takes to get a good deal in our upcoming contract.
