Chris Cox for Council for Racial & Social Justice Representative

My name is Chris Cox, and I have been a lecturer here at SJSU in the department of Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (SISS) for 24 years.

I became a CFA activist during the 2006 contract fight and have served our chapter in a variety of capacities since then, including as a lecturer representative, department representative, strike team member, and Council for Racial/Social Justice representative.

At the statewide level I have been a co-chair of the Black Caucus, Political Action/Legislation committee member, and currently serve as the Associate Vice President (North) of the Council for Racial/Social Justice. Though we have had many challenges in the past few years, I am proud of the work we have collectively done to improve our working conditions and to create a more just, more equitable CSU.

With your support, I will gladly continue to serve our campus community in the effort to make our campus a better workplace for all of us.

Thank you!
